What are the benefits of Cerakote?
Cerakote is a ceramic-based finish. It can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties:
- abrasion/wear resistance
- corrosion resistance
- chemical resistance
- impact strength
When properly applied, Cerakote becomes the most effective thermal barrier coating available. It increases performance, and extends component life. It has been tested to over 2000 degrees F without lifting, cracking or flaking. It is available in a variety of limited colors.
Unlike header wraps, ceramic coating does not hold potentially damaging heat & moisture around the part.
Rather, surface temperatures are actually reduced, extending the life of the part.
After curing, a very effective corrosion inhibiting film is formed that protects the part against oxidation and imparts excellent chemical resistance that further extends part life and enhances appearance.
