Once our customers get a sense of the durability and economy of powder coating, they start wanting to powder coat everything!
So we do get asked, can you powder coat wood? more often than you’d think!
The answer: It depends on the wood! As most folks familiar with powder coating know, the product you want to coat has to be able to accept a charge… and wood is notorious for rejecting electrical charge. However, fiberboard (known as MDF) is an exception.
Although we do not PC MDF in the shop, it can be done by manufacturers.
